INTRODUCTION

Bhupen Gamit built the Gujarati Christian Songs Book app as a free devotional application to help users access Christian songs, lyrics, and videos. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for personal and devotional use.
Note: This app was previously named “Gamit Vasavi Christian Songs Book.” Only the name has changed; data practices and ownership remain unchanged.

DATA COLLECTION AND USE

2.1 No Personal Data Collection
This app does NOT collect, store, or share personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or other uniquely identifying information.

2.2 Third-Party Services
The app integrates third-party services that may collect limited, anonymized data for analytics and ad personalization. These services include:

Google AdMob — banner, MREC (300×250), interstitial, and rewarded ads
YouTube (embedded via WebView) — devotional video playback
Supabase — hosts and delivers song data, image sliders, and promotional links

These third parties may collect anonymous information such as device model, IP address (approximate location), Advertising ID, and usage statistics (screen views, clicks). Advertising Identifier

Google AdMob may use the device’s Advertising ID to provide relevant advertisements and measure ad performance. Users can reset or limit the use of their Advertising ID through their device settings.

APP FEATURES & BEHAVIOR

3.1 Home Page
The home screen displays a clickable image slider (images and links originate from Supabase) and category buttons for songs.

3.2 Song List Pages
Song titles and metadata are loaded from Supabase when online and cached locally on the device for offline use. Cached data allows access without an internet connection.

3.3 Song Text Pages

Displays full lyrics and an embedded YouTube player (via WebView).
Provides zoom controls and text adjustments.
Uses FLAG_SECURE to discourage screenshots and screen recording for content protection.
An interstitial ad may be shown only when exiting the app — not during navigation between screens.

3.4 Promotions & Links
The slider and promotional section may include developer/business links. Clicks open the appropriate external pages (browser).

YOUTUBE CONTENT

All videos are embedded via YouTube and remain under YouTube’s control. The app does not store or manipulate YouTube account data. Viewing videos may result in anonymous analytics collected by YouTube.

FAVORITES & OFFLINE STORAGE

Users can mark songs as favorites. Favorites and cached song data (lyrics, titles) are stored only on the user’s device (Room database). No song or user data is uploaded to external servers.

ADS, MONETIZATION & AD PLACEMENTS

This app displays ads using Google AdMob, following Google Play and AdMob policies.

Ad formats used:

Banner Ads — displayed at the bottom of list and content screens

MREC Ads (300×250) — displayed below content lists, never inside content

Interstitial Ads — shown only when exiting the app, not during navigation

Rewarded Ads — optional ads used to unlock convenience features

Native Ads — displayed within song lists with clear visual separation from song content. Native ads are labeled and designed to avoid confusion with app content.

Rewarded Ads – How They Work

Rewarded ads are completely optional.

Core devotional content is always accessible
Users are never forced to watch ads

Examples:

Watching a rewarded ad may allow immediate YouTube playback
Watching a rewarded ad may open an external lyrics viewer that allows copying text

If a rewarded ad is not available, the app:

Allows playback
Opens the viewer without forcing an ad

Important Advertising Principles

Ads are clearly separated from content
Ads are never disguised as buttons, content, or navigation
Ads do not interrupt normal scrolling or reading
Clear visual separation and labels are used where appropriate

IN-APP PURCHASES (ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTIONS)

The app offers optional in-app subscription plans that allow users to upgrade to a Premium experience. Premium users receive the following benefits:

A cleaner and uninterrupted user experience

All payments are securely processed through the Google Play Store. The app does not collect, store, or process any payment information directly. Payment details, billing information, and transaction security are handled entirely by Google Play according to their policies.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user before the renewal date. Users can manage or cancel their subscriptions at any time through their Google Play account settings.

Refunds, if applicable, are subject to Google Play’s refund policy. The app developer does not directly process refunds.

No additional personal financial information is collected beyond what is required and securely managed by Google Play.
When Premium is active, all advertising formats (banner, MREC, native, interstitial, and rewarded ads) are disabled.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact the developer to request removal.

DATA SECURITY

Content (songs, images, videos, ads, and links) is served via trusted third-party services (Google, YouTube, Supabase). The app does not host or store user data on external servers.
